Personal Statement

My main research objective is to pave the way for modern real-life health research studies by being at the interface between digital epidemiology, data science, and clinical research. I implement comprehensive observational and real-life studies to identify digital biomarkers for remote monitoring key symptoms or patient-reported outcomes of patients.

Biographical sketch

I am the Director of the Department of Precision Health (DOPH) at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH), which is composed of 11 research units and where we conduct research activities in public health, epidemiology, and clinical research. 

I am also the Head of the Deep Digital Phenotyping Research Unit, a multidisciplinary research lab at LIH where we 1) develop AI-based digital and vocal biomarkers for patient monitoring and 2) conduct data-driven digital phenotyping research using large cohort studies and online data to improve the understanding of the impact of various chronic diseases (diabetes, mental health, cancer, Long COVID...) on the daily lives of patients and populations.
